Catechol was developed by Dr. Peter D'Adamo to help maintain normal levels and activity of COMT, a critical enzyme that our nervous system, particularly the brain's prefrontal cortex, relies upon to organize and coordinate information from other parts of the brain.
COMT is the symbol for the actual enzyme, known as catechol-O-methyltransferase. It is produced chiefly by nerve cells in the brain, but also produced elsewhere in the body, including the liver, kidneys, and blood, from the enzyme that helps control levels of certain hormones.
Suggested use: Two (2) capsules 1-3 times daily. Best taken away from food.
